Bio

René L Benoit is an illustrator based in Buffalo, NY.  From Algonquin, Canada to the Adirondack Mountains, René calls upon her connection to the wilderness in her work.  In response to the Anthropocene, she experiments in a variety of eco-conscious methods for her art process, including but not limited to: foraging for natural objects, pigment making using natural binders, and homemade paper making. Additionally, René interprets vivid dreams and visions through illustrations and paintings as part of her earth-based spirituality practice.
